Product Development Manager

Short Intro and About the Job Ready to shape the next generation of nutrition innovation in ANZ? As Product Development Manager , you will lead a complex and high‑impact portfolio across innovation, renovation, productivity and secure supply, supporting specialised nutrition products for export markets. Reporting to the R&I Director ANZ, you will partner closely with cross‑functional stakeholders, and drive innovation from concept through to factory delivery, ensuring product superiority while living Danone’s One Planet. One Health vision. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Leading and developing a high‑performing team, building capability, engagement, and future succession Leading and prioritising the ANZ Product Development project portfolio across innovation, renovation, productivity, and secure supply initiatives Owning end‑to‑end product development, from recipe design and trials through to scale‑up and launch with proper documentation Partnering with Marketing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Medical, and R&I teams globally to shape and deliver a robust innovation pipeline Ensuring products meet nutritional, sustainability, safety, and regulatory requirements, while optimising cost and quality Providing technical leadership to resolve complex product, process, or compliance challenges Managing risk, protecting intellectual property, and supporting supplier and third‑party evaluations Acting as a visible safety leader and role‑modeling Danone’s values and inclusive behaviours About You You are a collaborative and decisive leader who thrives in fast‑moving, complex environments and enjoys turning strategy into action. With strong product development expertise, you confidently lead teams, partner across functions, and balance quality, compliance, sustainability, and cost to deliver meaningful nutrition solutions that make a real impact for consumers and the business. Ideally, you will have: A degree in Food Science/Food Engineering, or a related discipline Significant experience in Product Development within FMCG, ideally dairy or specialised nutrition Proven experience leading and managing teams and complex project portfolios Strong understanding of end‑to‑end innovation and product development processes Experience working with regulatory frameworks relevant to ANZ and Asia markets The ability to influence, communicate clearly, and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups A leadership style that is inclusive, human‑centered, and accountable Digital savvy, eager to adapt to the rapidly evolving technologies and modern ways of working About Us, We offer and What's next We truly value our Danoners and strive to make their experience exceptional by creating a positive and fulfilling environment for everyone.
