Ready to shape the resource strategy behind a growing retail logistics contract? We are looking for a Planning Manager to join our The Entertainer site in Banbury . You will play a pivotal role in supporting growth and operational excellence across The Entertainer contract. Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and executing the resource planning strategy, ensuring the operation has the right people, in the right place, at the right time. Working closely with Operations, Finance, HR, and senior stakeholders, you'll use data-driven insights to optimise labour planning, drive efficiencies, and support business performance. This is a full-time, permanent role, working predominately Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:00. There will be a requirement to be flexible on occasion. What you’ll do on a typical day: Develop and deliver resource planning strategies that support changing business demands, operational performance, and future growth Analyse operational data, headcount, labour costs, and productivity trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements Produce and manage regular forecasting, management information, reporting, and planning models for key stakeholders Lead workforce planning for peak trading periods, holiday management, absence forecasting, and agency resource requirements Partner with Operations, Finance, and HR teams to ensure resource plans align with business objectives, budgets, and KPI targets What you need to succeed at GXO: Proven experience in resource planning, workforce management, or operational planning within a fast-paced logistics, retail, or distribution environment Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable business insights Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with experience producing reports, forecasts, and planning models Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build effective working relationships Experience leading and developing people, managing change, and working accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
