Predominately a Forces Command training base supporting Defence Force School of Signals (tri-service technicians & operators, electronic warfare systems), Defence Force School of Music (tri-service musicians) and Army Education Centre. The Army base services approximately 6000 Defence members and operates a 9 bed low dependency ward 24/7. The health centre also provides primary medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dental and mental health services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts). This role is primarily Monday to Friday within a multidisciplinary healthcare team . What you’ll do Delivering safe and accurate dispensing services in line with clinical standards Managing medication inventory and supporting efficient pharmacy operations Promoting safe and effective use of medications for patients and clinicians Providing technical advice and support to health practitioners Ensuring compliance with legislation, Defence policies, and quality standards What you bring Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a pharmacist Minimum 2 years’ post-internship experience in hospital, community, or defence pharmacy Strong understanding of medication safety, dispensing, and inventory management Current CPR certification (HLTAID009) Commitment to ongoing CPD and professional standards Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team Membership of PSA or SHPA (desirable) Australian Citizenship to obtain required security clearance Who we are Serco supports governments by delivering essential services across defence, health, justice, maritime and community services.
