Established in 1908, Gallipoli Barracks is the largest military base in South Queensland, home to approximately 8,000 members and the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters. Australian citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this role. What you’ll do Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members Conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care. Undertaking assessments, interventions, managing medications, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount What you bring Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse One of the following: ACMHN credentialed Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing Mental Health trained nurse / UK trained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse Minimum two years’ Post RN general registration experience within last five years in mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ as per Medicare Schedule Current CPR certification (HLTAID009) Australian Citizenship required to obtain Baseline Security Clearance Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care Who we are Serco supports governments by delivering essential services across defence, health, justice, maritime and community services.
