We’re seeking a full time Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Amberley Health Centre, delivering high-quality, person-centred mental health care to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel. Enjoy working Monday, Tuesday. Thursday and Friday 0730–1600, supportive colleagues, and an environment that values empathy, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

About the Amberley Health Centre
RAAF Base Amberley, the largest Air Force Base in Australia and approximately 50 minutes from Brisbane city. It provides operational and maintenance support for the precision strike element of the Air Combat Group, F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft. Supports the strategic lift capability for the Australian military’s KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT), C-17 Globemaster III heavy lift aircraft and C-27J Spartan battlefield airlifters. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services to over 6500 RAAF members. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Thursday (depending on role requirements), and a half day (5.5 hours) Friday.
What you’ll do
Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members
Conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care.
Undertaking assessments, interventions, managing medications, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions
Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount
What you bring
Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Credentialing with ACMHN or Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or recognised international equivalent)
Minimum two years’ post-graduate mental health experience, including comprehensive assessments and delivery of ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’
Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ as per Medicare Schedule
Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
Australian Citizenship required to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
