The Health Centre opened mid-2022 and is a large facility. It services approximately 7000 military personnel, including trainee officers from both ADFA and Royal Military College. There is a 24-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Defence Force Recruitment for medical officers is in addition to health centre roles. Standard hours of operation are generally 0800-1600 Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts). This role is working Day shift Monday, Wednesday and Friday and working 1200 to 2000 on Tuesday and Thursday. What  you ’ll  do   Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members  Conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care. Undertaking assessments, interventions, managing medications, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount   What you bring   Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse One of the following: ACMHN credentialed Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing Mental Health trained nurse / UK trained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse Minimum two years’ Post RN general registration experience within last five years in mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting   Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ as per Medicare Schedule Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)  Australian Citizenship required  to obtain Baseline Security Clearance Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care  Who we are   Serco supports governments by delivering essential services across defence, health, justice, maritime and community services.  Through our partnership with Bupa, we provide integrated on-base healthcare to Australian Defence Force personnel across 45+ locations.  Interested?
