Key accountabilities Ensures all local building, fire and authority regulations including relevant standards, codes of practice and insurance requirements are enforced and observed. Ensures Engineering maintenance requests are carried out in a timely manner to a good standard in accordance with established policies and procedures, maintenance programme and operation schedule including but not limited to: House Rules and Regulation, Health and Safety, Emergency Response and Standard Operating Procedures. Carries out all mechanical and plumbing work connected with hot and cold-water supplies including AHU and FCU, Fire Fighting System, Soil & Waste disposal system, ensuring drain channels and pipes are regularly cleaned under planned maintenance program. Repairs and maintains in good working condition all plumbing works such as flushing system, toilet bowls, urinals, basins and vent pipes and waste pipes, etc., including floor traps and grease traps. Carries out inspection, testing and chemical treatment to swimming pools, jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam room. Cooperates and co-ordinates with all engineers and external contractors whenever necessary and interacts with other departments to provide additional or specialized guest services. General requirements Have a strong experience in engineering operations of the Hotel and a good understanding of building service such as HVAC systems and Plumbing & Drainage. At least 3 years in a similar engineering role within hotels. Certificate of Mechanical Engineering and Plumbing systems. Self-starter, independent, good presentation, and problem-solving skills. Analytical, detailed oriented, organized, customer oriented, goals and result-oriented and articulate. Ability to contribute and initiate/lead environment and energy conservation programme, campaigned by the hotel.
