About Us

ZeroTier leads the world in next-generation connectivity and cybersecurity. Our platforms, ZeroTier One and ZeroTier Quantum, provide highly secure, peer-to-peer virtual networks, relied upon by millions of users and businesses - from individual users and startups to mid-scale enterprises and Fortune 500 companies. We’re backed by awesome investors including Battery Ventures, Bonfire Ventures, and Anorak Ventures.

The Role

We're looking for a Marketing Engineer who can own the full lifecycle of our web surface. You will act as both the architect and the operator: maintaining the stability and performance of our existing web infrastructure while engineering the dynamic systems, integrations, and high-performance landing pages that drive growth. We need a developer who is equally comfortable debugging a WordPress plugin or setting up a HubSpot integration or translating a complex Figma prototype into high-fidelity, production-ready code and pages leveraging Claude.

This is a hands-on development role. You will own execution of responsive, performant web pages, the tactical aspects of SEO, AEO, and GEO, and refine user experience within our current and future technology stacks. Additionally, experience architecting and managing an online store and expertise in Webflow (or Framer) is an essential requirement. Comfort or experience working with marketing tooling with lightweight or visual programming are also desired. We’re looking for candidates who are also AI-fluent and ready to lead those transitions, not new tooling on the job.

While any design direction will be provided, we’re looking for a developer who respects design intent, catches inconsistencies, and makes sound judgment calls when a spec doesn't cover every case. You don't need to create the design, but you should care about getting it right and maintaining a high standard of execution.

You'll work closely with the Director of Visual Design and the Marketing team to ensure that what we ship matches what was designed, stays true to ZeroTier's visual identity, branding, and performs well for users. Cross-functionally you will also work with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams. This is an IC role, with potential for small team management.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, manage, and optimize our core web properties, including the marketing main site, documentation and technical site, partner mini-sites and ingestion sites

  • Proactively monitor health, security, and ongoing performance for our web properties

  • Engineer the framework for an online store, ensuring scalability, security, and user-friendly functionality

  • Architect and deploy dynamic content experiences that personalize user journeys based on CRM data

  • Support HubSpot automation and integration setup and maintenance

  • Bridge the gap between design and development by translating high-fidelity Figma mockups into pixel-perfect, accessible, and responsive components and pages, using AI or directly working where appropriate

  • Oversee the migration of our technology stack (e.g., WordPress to Webflow), ensuring platform stability and continuity during transitions

  • Support cross-team AI implementations, including agentic workflows, co-working tools, and common data pools

    What We're Looking For

    • Experience building and shipping websites, with a portfolio or body of work demonstrating faithful execution of designs

    • Front-end engineering skills: front-end frameworks (React, Vue), build tooling, APIs, or working alongside a product engineering team

    • Fluency in the current stack (WordPress/Elementor) with a focus on stability and performance

    • Proficient in modern engineering practices (APIs, dynamic content, build tools) required to “build the engine”

    • Required fluency in modern web platforms (e.g., Webflow)

    • Experience managing the operational side of the web (SEO/AEO/GEO, analytics, tracking, site health)

    • Real world experience with AI-assisted development and production workflows

    • Ability to read and execute from Figma designs and prototypes with high fidelity

    • A design lens: strong grasp of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, responsive design, and an instinct for when something looks "off"

    • Strong communication skills, especially in async/remote environments
