Job Description: Valuation & Financial Reporting Prepare and deliver monthly actuarial reporting inputs for management dashboards within agreed timelines, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and insightful commentary. Reporting includes Statutory Reserves, Statutory Earnings, and other key actuarial metrics. Produce and submit regulatory returns in a timely and accurate manner, covering monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reporting requirements related to reserves, business statistics, and other regulatory information. Support statutory audits by providing actuarial data, analyses, and documentation required by external auditors. Collaborate with the Risk function in completing Quantitative Impact Surveys (QIS) and other regulatory exercises requested by local authorities. Provide actuarial inputs to Finance to support profit and loss reporting at product level. Strategic Planning & Forecasting Produce Statutory valuation and reporting inputs as part of the Strategic Plan process, ensuring delivery in line with agreed timelines. Perform projection analyses and ensure assumptions, methodologies, and results are robust, accurate, and clearly explainable to stakeholders. Prepare and maintain Strategic Plan models, spreadsheets, and Finance reporting packs. Deliver Statutory earnings forecasts and business projections to support management decision-making. Conduct scenario and sensitivity testing to assess the impact of key business and economic assumptions on earnings and capital positions. Prophet Model Development & Governance Maintain and monitor the Prophet valuation system to ensure effective performance and reliability for Statutory and Risk-Based Capital (RBC) reporting. Ensure valuation models, methodologies, and processes are appropriately documented and governed. Propose and implement model enhancements through the Local Model Committee governance framework. Support the onboarding, training, and development of team members in running and maintaining Prophet models. Assumptions Management & Review Implement annual assumption and expense/unit cost reviews within Statutory and RBC reporting frameworks. Perform impact assessments of proposed assumption changes and provide clear recommendations before approval. Ensure all assumption and parameter updates are independently reviewed, validated, and properly documented in accordance with governance requirements. Support ongoing monitoring of experience and emerging trends to identify potential assumption updates and business implications. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics Minimum 4 years of actuarial experience within the life insurance industry, with significant exposure to Statutory Valuation, Financial Reporting, and Capital Management. Understanding of local regulatory requirements and accounting frameworks, including statutory reporting and IFRS 17 Proven experience managing actuarial reporting processes, regulatory submissions, and audit requirements. Experience in Risk-Based Capital (RBC) reporting and regulatory frameworks.
