We are now looking for a Manager Manufacturing Engineering to lead and develop our Manufacturing Engineering team in Vara. In this role, you will be responsible for driving efficient, stable and flexible manufacturing processes that support both current production and future transformation. You will work both strategically and operationally, leading improvement initiatives within Manufacturing Engineering and in close collaboration with the manufacturing departments. A key part of your responsibility will be to develop routines, build competence and strengthen ways of working that improve quality, efficiency and flexibility. You will also support the Director Engineering in developing the organization and strengthening collaboration with other functions within Volvo Penta and the wider Volvo Group. Your future team You will lead the Manufacturing Engineering team within the Engineering function at Volvo Penta, Vara Operations. The team consists of 15 skilled and knowledgeable colleagues who work together with a supportive mindset and strong commitment to continuous improvement. Together, the team is responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes at the Vara site (machining, assembly, painting, testing, logistics), ensuring that the plant is prepared to meet future product and production needs. We believe you have: A technical university degree or equivalent experience Experience in manufacturing engineering or a related area within industry Proven leadership experience and a strong interest in people development An analytical, structured and self-driven way of working The ability to drive change and improvement in a collaborative environment You understand that sustainable business performance is built on trust, learning and strong relationships, and you are motivated by playing an active role in the transformation of Volvo Penta Vara Operations.
