Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our BRAND NEW site in Horsley Park, Sydney. As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll keep our site operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery. You’ll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement long-term improvements to reduce downtime. We are hiring multiple permanent night shift positions, working on a 4-day roster (10-hour shifts) These roles are entitled to annual leave and penalty rates where applicable. Learn more about Amazon RME in Australia Key job responsibilities - Complete proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment - Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment - Implement long-term solutions to reduce future downtime - Use specialised tools to maximise equipment effectiveness - Follow and promote Health & Safety standards Basic Qualifications - Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert lll in Engineering OR Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia. - Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems - Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems - Ability to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawings - Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters - Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations Preferred Qualifications - Experience with CMMS systems - Experience with sortation machines - Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners - Experience with print and apply machines Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
