Machine Learning & AI Engineer

About the Role As a GCP Lead Consultant (m/w/d), you will lead customer engagements around modern data platforms, machine learning and Generative AI on Google Cloud. You will combine technical leadership, architectural ownership and delivery responsibility to help customers move from strategy and ideation to scalable, production-ready solutions.. What You’ll Do Lead customer engagements in the areas of Google Cloud Data, AI, Machine Learning and Generative AI Conduct Data Architecture, AI/ML and GenAI workshops with customers Design and deliver fit-for-purpose solution architectures based on customer requirements, business goals and technical constraints Take responsibility for delivery teams and ensure successful implementation of customer projects Create solution architecture documents, technical designs and implementation roadmaps Support the development of end-to-end data and AI pipelines on Google Cloud Help customers industrialise AI use cases and move from prototype to production-ready solutions Design and support MLOps / LLMOps practices, including CI/CD, deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management Advise customers on modern AI patterns such as LLM integration, RAG architectures, prompt engineering and foundation model adoption Collaborate with data engineers and developers to build scalable cloud-native solutions Contribute to the development of internal frameworks, offerings, service domains and reusable assets Support pre-sales, business development and proposal activities Coach and mentor junior consultants and engineers Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team What You Bring A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, AI engineering or a related consulting role Proven hands-on experience delivering solutions on Google Cloud Platform, or equivalent cloud technologies Strong experience in designing and delivering complex technical architectures Hands-on experience with Vertex AI, Gemini models and related cloud AI services Strong programming skills in Python or R Solid foundation in machine learning and AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain or LangGraph Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for data and ML projects Experience with DBT and/or Dataform Fluent German and English, both written and spoken Nice to Have Good understanding of MLOps tools and best practices Experience with Generative AI use cases in enterprise environments Familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases and AI application monitoring Experience with Docker, APIs and modern software engineering practices Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop or Hive Experience with NLP, computer vision or advanced analytics Contributions to open-source projects or publications in relevant conferences or journals Two or more certifications in GCP, AWS or Azure Architecture and/or Machine Learning Why Join Us Work on innovative and impactful Cloud, Data & AI projects for leading clients across industries Join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment with strong Google Cloud expertise Be part of a collaborative and international team of cloud, data and AI specialists Take ownership and play a key role in shaping customer engagements and growing our Data & AI capabilities Benefit from continuous learning, certification support and professional development opportunities Enjoy a culture built on respect, ambition, entrepreneurship, collaboration and frankness Receive a competitive compensation package and grow in a supportive environment that empowers you to succeed Tech native for over 30 years, Devoteam guides businesses through sustainable digital transformation to deliver value.
