Working as part of the Linen Service team, you'll monitor, distribute and collect clean and used linen across the hospital site, helping maintain stock levels for uninterrupted clinical use. This is a hands-on role where your reliability, customer focus and commitment to safe work practices will help support the smooth operation of hospital services. As a Linen Assistant, you'll make a positive impact by: Operating Linen Service equipment to deliver and collect clean and used linen across the hospital Ensuring buffer stock linen requests are supplied within agreed timeframes and recorded Monitoring linen stock levels and reporting unusual usage or levels to the Linen Team Leader Supporting the segregation of unused and soiled linen trolleys for collection by the subcontractor Providing assistance to clinical staff in a friendly and professional manner Assisting with linen audits and responding to reactive work orders in line with service standards Serco is a place for you You could be a great fit if you have: Previous experience in a similar customer-focused role within a healthcare or hospitality environment The ability to maintain quality service while working to time constraints Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders The ability to maintain accurate records and work with subcontractors A commitment to working safely and collaboratively within a diverse workplace The ability to work autonomously while maintaining effective work outputs In joining us, you'll be part of a highly supportive culture with trusted leaders who will help you achieve your goals.
