We're delighted to be partnering with an international organization to recruit a French-speaking Legal Counsel to join their team in Amsterdam. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of commercial, corporate and compliance matters, partnering with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions and supporting the business on day-to-day legal activities. Working within a collaborative legal team, you'll provide practical, commercially focused advice while helping the organization manage legal risk and maintain strong governance standards. Key Responsibilities of the Legal Counsel: Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements with customers, suppliers and business partners Support business teams throughout the contract lifecycle, providing pragmatic legal advice on commercial arrangements Advise on corporate law and governance matters across an international group Assist with corporate governance activities and the maintenance of statutory records Contribute to the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures and internal guidance Partner with stakeholders across commercial, finance and operational teams to provide practical legal support Liaise with external legal advisers on jurisdiction-specific matters where required Monitor legal and regulatory developments and help ensure ongoing compliance across multiple jurisdictions Candidate Profile: Master's degree in Law Approximately 2-4 years' experience as a Legal Counsel or Commercial Lawyer Fluent in both English and French Experience gained in-house, private practice, or a combination of both Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts Sound understanding of corporate governance and compliance principles Commercially minded with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills EMEA Recruitment is committed to promoting Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the workplace.
