Name of the Project: Sustainability Strategic Analysis and Data Integration Vice Presidency: Sustainability Region: Central Intern’s Location (Office): Margain Offices Eligible Semester(s): 5th - 8th semester Careers of Interest: Computer Systems Engineering, Data Science, Geomatics / Geoinformatics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Digital Transformation Engineering Schedule Availability: Between 25 and 30 hours per week Period of Stay at CEMEX: 6 months, with the option of renewal Tentative Start Date: July 2026 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Project Objective Support the Sustainability team in the collection, integration, analysis, and visualization of sustainability data using data analytics tools, GIS, and corporate platforms, contributing to decision-making and both internal and external reporting. Main Responsibilities and Activities to Be Carried Out Support in preparing information for sustainability reports Develop competitor benchmarks and ESG reports Provide support in assurance processes Assist in integrating and managing data across platforms such as SAP, Excel, Power BI, Snowflake, and other corporate systems Basic automation of data processing and data validation workflows Develop and maintain dashboards and maps for environmental indicator visualization Manage and update geographic information in GIS platforms (GeoDataCenter or other geographic viewers) Develop and review cartography related to quarries, plants, and assets, as well as perform basic land cover analyses Support documentation, knowledge sharing, and internal training on the use of data and GIS tools Specific Requirements / Qualifications Desired Technical Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, handling large datasets) Power BI for dashboard creation and publishing Basic knowledge of databases and SQL GIS tools, preferably ArcGIS (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online) Basic Python for data process automation Competencies and Skills Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail Interest in data integration, spatial analysis, and visualization Ability to work with multiple data sources Ability to communicate results clearly Proactive attitude, fast learner, and team player Preferred Plus Qualifications Knowledge of environmental topics, sustainability, or natural resource management Previous experience in GIS projects, data analysis, or data visualization
