Job Description
EMEA Recruitment is supporting a leading international organization in its search for an Indirect Procurement Specialist to join its Media & Digital Marketing procurement function in Amsterdam.
This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with experience across media, digital marketing and agency spend categories to join a collaborative international business.
Working closely with stakeholders across Marketing, Brand, Digital, Finance and Legal, you'll lead strategic sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships and deliver commercial value across a diverse portfolio.
Key responsibilities of the Indirect Procurement Specialist:
Lead strategic sourcing projects across Media & Digital Marketing spend categories, including media buying, digital media, creative agencies, content creation, influencer marketing, marketing technology, CRM platforms, analytics and market research
Manage end-to-end procurement activity, from market engagement and supplier selection through to commercial negotiation and contract implementation
Develop strong relationships with agency partners and strategic suppliers, driving performance, innovation and continuous improvement
Partner with Marketing, Brand, Digital, Finance and Legal teams to provide commercial guidance and procurement expertise
Deliver value through effective negotiation, supplier optimization and cost management initiatives
Support category planning by analyzing market trends, supplier capabilities and commercial opportunities
Negotiate robust commercial agreements, including agency remuneration models, service levels and contractual terms
Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs and ensure contractual obligations are met
Produce procurement reporting, spend analysis and savings tracking to support business decision-making
Ensure procurement activities are delivered in line with internal governance, compliance requirements and procurement best practice
Candidate profile:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance or a related discipline
3-5 years' experience within Procurement or Category Management, ideally across Media, Digital Marketing, Marketing Services or Agency spend
Experience leading competitive sourcing exercises, commercial negotiations and supplier selection
Strong understanding of the media and digital marketing supplier landscape
Knowledge of agency remuneration models, marketing technology and digital procurement would be advantageous
Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple business functions
Experience using procurement platforms such as Ariba would be advantageous
Fluent in English
