Responsibilities: 1. Underwriting Governance & Group Interface Group UW Guideline & Underwriting Governance Monitor and manage updates to Group Underwriting Guideline and Group Underwriting Governance. Communicate updates to UW team, clarify implications and practical application of any new governance actions (e.g. crisis‑related measures). Coordinate annual update and communication of General Conditions to UW and L&C. Local UW Guideline & Authority Delegation Work closely with the Chief Underwriting Office of AXA GI HK, AIRE and UW team to support annual update of Local GI RI Hub UW Guideline and local authority delegation. Support the update of local authority delegation letters based on GUL approved by AXA Group and ensure proper saving in relevant ShareBox paths. Participate in the Annual Group Authority (GUL) application process: collate referral volume and pass rate statistics, operational efficiency, business case, technical capability, and proposed limits; align with Risk Management before submission. Ensure all authority letters issued by AXA Group are archived and referenced for downstream delegation to AIRE and AXA HK. 2. Meeting & Stakeholder Coordination Coordinate and ensure effective participation in meetings related to underwriting, distribution, business booking, etc. Host/oversee weekly RI operations meetings to track operational tasks, booking timelines and alignment with senior management's directives. Maintain a regular catch‑up with Risk Management on pipeline, strategy changes, GWP/UE impacts, authority applications, risk framework changes and regulatory developments. Coordinate regular catch‑ups with key business partners , ensuring proper preparation 3. Operations, Booking & Finance Interface Oversee quarterly booking based on AIRE declarations and ensure alignment between AIRE, HK Reserving and HK Operations (templates and checking process). Coordinate treaty wording set‑up & review, including L&C approvals and signing processes. Supervise SOA follow‑up and review process: ensure regular follow‑up by operations, involve pricing/underwriting for checks, and confirm settlement with counterparties. Review settlement proposals and support CUO in approval decisions. Oversee monthly booking planning to ensure alignment with StratPlan and SOA‑driven booking Ensure timely business bookling completion and review 4. Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting Finance, StratPlan & Magnitude Coordinate the end‑to‑end finance planning and monitoring process including GWP, commissions, brokerage and earned premium inputs, LR selections, reserving inputs and final P&L/UE outcomes. Facilitate discussions on changes and ensure updated inputs from relevant parties are reflected in final results. Review RBC report, ensure consistency with booking and expected LR, and prepare explanation for significant YTD changes. Ultimate Loss Ratio Selection & Updates Co‑lead ULR review per treaty (Best Estimate view) and support StratPlan ULR selection and monthly booking ULR updates. Ensure ULR selection is aligned with expected UE results and that operational booking spreadsheets reflect updated ULRs. Coordinate communication with Finance in case adverse treaty development leads to higher ULR and negative impact to full‑year results (options: LR buffer release, additional GWP, GI HK buffer, or escalation). Portfolio Management Process ("PMP") & Technical Review Follow‑up Coordinate quarterly PMP data collection, gather P&L report from Finance, and support in producing the PMP report and leading discussion meetings. Own coordination of Technical Review follow‑up: Maintain oversight of Management Action Plan Organize quarterly check‑ins with respective action owners to track progress and ensure evidence and documentation are up to date. Expense Study & Internal Governance Coordinate bi‑annual expense study for GI RI Hub Support RBC related reporting: Act as coordination point for Internal Audit / Compliance Audit on GI RI Hub : ensure action owners respond, evidence is compiled, and timelines are respected. 5. Risk Management & RAF Risk Appetite Framework ("RAF") Review & Monitoring Coordinate annual RAF structure review with Risk Management and ensure pipeline and business development plans are consistent with RAF capacity. Obtain and maintain RAF monitoring files from Risk Management and assist in testing RAF impact for new cases. Ensure RAF considerations are embedded in new business decisions and that communication with Risk Management is timely and efficient. 6. Business Development Support Existing Cases & New Opportunities Assist underwriting/pricing teams in case follow‑up for existing treaties and MGA accounts, ensuring operational and strategic alignment. Support regular catch‑up and monitoring of new MGA and treaty opportunities; ensure AXA appetite changes are timely communicated and reflected in pipeline, pricing and authority discussions. Qualifications: 5–8+ years in (re)insurance, preferably in GI treaty reinsurance, RI hub, or regional offices. Experience in treaty underwriting, pricing, or portfolio management. Knowledge of reinsurance operations (booking, SOA, SAP, treaty wording) and finance interactions. Solid understanding of risk and capital concepts (RAF, RBC, ULR, UE). Familiar with underwriting governance, authority delegation, and guidelines at group and local levels. Proficient in financial planning cycles, Magnitude, and StratPlan. Experience in reinsurance program design (QS, XOL) and internal arrangements. Strong analytical skills in GWP projections, LR, ULR, UE impacts, and broker analysis; excellent English (Chinese preferred) communication skills. Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a matrix environment. Skilled in insurance/reinsurance systems, Excel, and data reconciliation.
