Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Leadership
- Develop and implement the AMTP Europe H&S strategy aligned with Group and Division objectives.
- Foster a proactive safety culture through visible leadership, engagement, and accountability at all organizational levels.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable H&S legislation, corporate standards, Fatality Prevention Standards (FPS), and Life-Saving Golden Rules.
- Establish and monitor leading and lagging H&S KPIs and drive corrective actions where required.
- Lead investigations of serious incidents, identify root causes, and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
- Coordinate H&S audits, risk assessments, and management reviews across all sites.
- Promote the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across the AMTP Europe network.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Group H&S policies, standards, and procedures.
- Provide expert guidance to plant leadership teams on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities, auditors, customers, and external stakeholders where required.
- Support due diligence activities, acquisitions, and integration projects from an H&S perspective.
Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, coach, and develop the H&S community across AMTP Europe.
- Build organizational capability through training, coaching, and leadership development initiatives.
- Support managers in embedding H&S leadership expectations and safe behaviors throughout the organization.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives related to safety, wellbeing, and operational excellence.
Operational Excellence
- Support operational improvement projects by incorporating H&S considerations into business decisions.
- Participate in major investment, engineering, and growth projects to ensure appropriate risk management and quality planning.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, and Procurement to strengthen H&S performance.

- Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR)
- Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR)
- Serious Incident and Near-Miss Reporting Rates
- Fatality Prevention Standards compliance
- Audit completion and closure rates
- Quality claims and customer complaint reduction
- Quality cost reduction
- Compliance and certification status
- Employee H&S engagement indicators
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Professional Health & Safety qualification preferred.
- Quality Management certification (e.g., ISO 9001 lead auditor) is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Health & Safety, or Operations leadership within an industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-site H&S programs.
- Experience managing incident investigations, audits, risk management processes, and compliance programs.
- Experience working in an international and matrix organization.
