Le poste en détail

Responsibilities

Accounting: Manage the accounting team (local and off-shore) during the closing process to deliver the financials, in coordination with the FP&A, Controlling and Tax teams. Provide expertise, help resolving anomalies, and continuously improve accounting tools and processes.

CLS: Provide the Group and various stakeholders with reliable financial reports that comply with accounting, legal, and tax standards, reflecting a true and fair view of the company’s operations, in both IFRS and French GAAP.

 

Activities : 

Financial Statements (CLS)

  • Produce legal financial statements according to local standards. Ensure proper adjustments between local and consolidated standards, implementing corrective actions as needed in collaboration with auditors and/or the Corporate team responsible for standards.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and management procedures, develop necessary corrective actions, and collaborate with stakeholders to apply updates when standards evolve.
  • Check the final consistency of monthly results, request necessary adjustments, ensure compliance with applied accounting methods, publish the Group’s financial packages
  • Oversee management control functions and deliver statements to the Finance team.
  • Both for AMF and its subsidiaries

Interfaces (CLS)

  • Coordinate activities between auditors and internal stakeholders (Accounting, SCM, IS/IT, Production, Maintenance, etc.) to collect all required data.

Closing (Accounting) 

  • Create, communicate, and promptly update the accounting closure calendar for all accounting/finance personnel and the Accounting Center [BCoE/GBT].
  • Support the resolution of issues during closure by leveraging expertise in the accounting
  • Prepare and lead pre-closure and post-closure meetings with all participants to optimize the closure calendar.
  • Assist and support controllers in validating production costs by product as defined by the system and provide technical validation for associated production costs (escalating alerts to superiors if needed)
  • Ensure good quality of balance sheet documentation and reviews
  • Manage and coordinate the accounting teams, with local resources but also with off-shore resources, whether in Poland or India; bring expertise, train the teams and ensure good coordination among people

Internal Control (Accounting)     

  • Centralize and verify receipt of SOX controls (billing, stock reconciliation, inventories), ensure consistency checks, and communicate results to superiors.
  • Lead stock review meetings with SCM and the relevant site, prepare action reports, and ensure follow-up.
  • Coordinate inventory management between site teams and accountants to ensure system updates.

System support (Accounting) 

  • Adapt the accounting system to the organization (create cost centers, manage cost distribution/reversal cycles, create macro-items).
  • On Metal Balance process, ensure good sharing of knowledge, follow-up of closing anomalies to get them solved, including in upfront processes; work on digitalization and simplification of the Metal balance process
  • Clean accounts by coordinating actions among various accountants and monitoring progress.
  • Assist procurement/finance representatives in resolving webcycle issues related to accounting problems and perform manual payment processes if needed.

Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (DSCG) or 5 year study in Finance
  • Min 10 years in Accounting positions in big companies, including Chief accounting position, both in French and IFRS environment
  • Team management experience (min 3 to 5 people), with good relationship capabilities
  • Experience in Shared services collaboration
  • Expertise in SAP
  • Languages: French and English (minimum professional capacities to work with India Center of expertise)
  • Continuous improvement mindset, for processes and IT
