About the role
We are looking for a Business Manager within Data/AI Office for Global Markets to accelerate the adoption of Artificial Intelligence across Sales, Trading, Structuring, Research, COO Functions.
The role will be responsible for driving a full AI transformation agenda across Global Markets, covering:
AI for efficiency: productivity, automation, workflow simplification and operational excellence
AI for NBI: revenue generation, client intelligence, sales enablement and new AI-powered commercial opportunities
AI for all: democratization of AI tools, upskilling, awareness and responsible usage across the organization
AI governance: safe, compliant and controlled adoption of AI in a regulated banking environment
This is a business transformation role, not only a technical role. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business teams, technology, data, risk, compliance, legal and senior management to identify, prioritize and scale AI use cases with tangible business impact.
Key responsibilities
1. Define and drive the Global Markets AI strategy
Define the AI roadmap for Global Markets in alignment with business priorities, technology strategy, data strategy and regulatory expectations
Identify and prioritize high-value AI opportunities across Sales, Trading, Structuring, Research, Operations and COO functions
Build a portfolio of AI initiatives covering productivity gains, NBI generation, risk reduction, automation and client service enhancement
Translate business pain points into AI opportunities and ensure clear value cases, expected benefits and delivery plans
Maintain a clear AI use case pipeline from ideation to experimentation, industrialization and adoption
2. Accelerate AI for efficiency
Drive the deployment and adoption of AI assistants, copilots, knowledge search, document automation, workflow automation and intelligent agents
Identify repetitive, manual or low-value-added activities that can be automated or augmented through AI
Partner with Operations, COO, Technology and Business Management teams to streamline processes and reduce operational friction
Measure productivity gains and adoption levels through concrete KPIs
Promote reusable solutions and avoid fragmentation of local AI initiatives
3. Develop AI for NBI and business growth
Partner with Sales, Trading, Structuring and Research teams to identify AI use cases that can enhance client coverage, idea generation, market intelligence and commercial effectiveness
Support the creation of AI-powered tools for client insights, sales recommendations, product intelligence, pricing support, research summarization and opportunity detection
Help business teams transform AI ideas into prototypes, minimum viable products and scalable solutions
Ensure that AI initiatives are linked to measurable commercial outcomes, including client engagement, monetization opportunities and revenue contribution
Work closely with quants, strategists, data scientists and product owners to embed AI in front-office workflows
4. Lead AI awareness, adoption and “AI for all”
Build and animate an AI community across Global Markets, including AI champions, power users and business sponsors
Design awareness campaigns, training sessions, demos, AI days, hackathons and internal communication plans
Promote responsible and practical usage of AI tools by all employees, regardless of technical background
Help teams understand what AI can and cannot do, with a focus on concrete banking use cases
Create playbooks, guidelines and best practices to accelerate safe adoption
5. Ensure responsible AI governance
Work with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Data Protection, Model Risk Management, Technology Risk and Cybersecurity teams to ensure AI use cases comply with internal policies and external regulation
Ensure AI solutions are properly assessed for data confidentiality, explainability, model risk, conduct risk, operational risk and regulatory impact
Promote appropriate controls, validation, monitoring, human oversight and auditability for AI solutions
Support documentation of AI use cases, including business rationale, data usage, controls, limitations and ownership
Contribute to the definition and implementation of responsible AI standards for Global Markets
6. Manage delivery and stakeholder alignment
Act as the central coordination point for AI initiatives across Global Markets
Engage senior stakeholders to secure sponsorship, funding, prioritization and adoption
Partner with Technology, Data, Digital, Innovation and AI Lab teams to deliver AI capabilities at scale
Track progress, risks, dependencies, benefits and adoption metrics for the AI portfolio
Prepare executive updates, steering committee materials and AI transformation dashboards
