This position will be responsible for Corporate Transient and Meetings & Events, Travel Management Companies and Group segments from companies based in Mumbai and West India for business to India hotels worldwide.
Main Responsibilities
Create a culture of success for ongoing business and goal achievement
Continuously analyze and evaluate key markets, vertical segments and portfolio performance to ensure maximization of revenue opportunities.
Build and develop relationships, representing the organization with key customers
Develop strong business relationships with the key internal business partners to understand and deliver on their needs, as well as drive their engagement with our sales strategies, tools and systems
Oversee the evaluation and development of core sales systems and processes to ensure technology is being used as a strategic enabler to drive revenue
Ensure all-important Hyatt systems are mastered and to have in depth knowledge of working within the system i.e. Lanyon, Envision etc.
Liaise with hotels to cross-sell and develop business opportunities for Hyatt Hotels’ and customers’ benefit.
Visits to source markets for India as and when required.
Use Hyatt’s sales and marketing tools to better manage sales i.e. Competitive Intelligence, Cognos, World of Hyatt, etc.
Make effective use of Hyatt Sales Tools & Promotions to increase conversion and Hyatt’s share of business.
Be a key point of contact for Travel Managers of major accounts throughout India.
Manage and support the RFP process where required.
Attend key business, travel trade fairs/seminars in India as and when required.
Establish measurable account-driven approach, work in line with pre-defined strategies to enhance Hyatt’s market share.
Attend all recommended trainings and important internal sessions.
Work consistently within the spirit of the company strategies and stake holders.
Working with each direct report in creating strategic road maps for each of their accounts
Joining Sales colleagues on customer interactions, sales calls and business reviews
Prepare and control Hyatt Sales Force expenses and ensure it is line with budget

3+ years’ experience working in hotels sales function. Global sales experience is strongly preferred.
Organizing & Administering - works collaboratively – good manager of 3rd party and internal resources to achieve a collective goal. Manages timelines effectively.
Priority Setting - Is able to work in a deadline and performance oriented environment.
Interpersonal Savvy – relates well to all kinds of people up, down, laterally, inside and outside the organization; builds appropriate rapport, builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact; can diffuse high-tension situations.
Drives for Results – has good balance of process and outcomes focus.
Self-starter/Independent – comfortable to work independently; self-starter.
Bachelor’s degree required preferably, but not limited to, Hotel Management/ Business Administration.
Written and spoken proficiency in English as well as other regional languages
