As an Associate within the EMEA Flow Single Stock Options desk, you will trade pan-European single name options while managing the firm's risk arising from client activity. You will work at the intersection of markets, clients, and cutting-edge technology, collaborating closely with Sales, Quantitative Research, and Technology teams to sharpen strategies and develop new products. This is an opportunity to build meaningful client relationships, generate high-impact trade ideas, and contribute to a team that is at the forefront of European equity derivatives markets.

 

Job responsibilities

  • Trade pan-European single name options on the EMEA Flow Single Stock Options desk, managing the firm's risk arising from client flows
  • Manage and monitor the trading book, ensuring strict adherence to desk risk limits at all times
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a broad suite of clients, acting as a trusted and knowledgeable counterpart
  • Provide detailed sectorial colour and market insight to clients and internal partners to support informed decision-making
  • Collaborate with Sales, Quantitative Research, and Technology teams to continuously improve trading strategies and develop new products
  • Generate high-quality, actionable trade ideas for Sales partners to support client engagement and business growth
  • Adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements, upholding the highest standards of conduct

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven experience in trading
  • Proven trading book management experience
  • Strong understanding of single stock options and broader financial markets
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to analyse market data and test trading strategies
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Sales teams and clients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined, process-oriented approach
  • Fluency in English

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience trading EMEA single stock or equity derivatives products at a financial institution
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance
  • Master's degree in a relevant quantitative or financial discipline
  • Proficiency in Python/Jupyter for data analysis or strategy testing
