Le poste en détail

We're a product-first team on a mission to help grow the cybersecurity culture 🔐

We want to instill cybersecurity good practices to employees in a way that's actually effective, and entertaining enough so that employees don't feel like they're working. Think Duolingo but for cybersecurity.

We created a platform to easily rollout a cybersecurity awareness program: the platform sends chat-based 4-minutes long courses to teams. Following the courses, the other side of the platform simulates phishing attacks, to prepare employees to face hackers, but in a safe environment.

Created in 2020, Riot has raised $45m with leading investors (Y Combinator, Left Lane, Base10, Funders Club and Frst Capital) and is now protecting more than 2,000,000 employees in over 2,000 companies (including Sisal, Edison, Coop and LastMinute) all over the world.

Cybersecurity is everywhere. It's impacting everyone, everyday, and it's becoming the number one risk to any organization, whether it's a small business or a big firm. Yet, the cybersecurity culture in most companies is a disaster. Hackers are leveraging this by targeting the weakest link: the employees. We're on a mission to fix that. \n

About the job

Most cybersecurity companies ignore small businesses. Too small, too fragmented, too hard to reach at scale. We think that's the wrong bet and a massive opportunity.

The SMB market (companies under 200 employees) is one of Riot's biggest growth levers. Cyber attacks are increasingly targeting smaller companies, and incoming regulations will soon force thousands of them to act. What doesn't exist yet is a scalable way to reach them. That's exactly what this role is about.

What you build will not only drive growth in France but will also serve as a blueprint for international expansion and other segments such as Mid-Market and Enterprise.

What you will do 🤝

As our first Head of Small Business, you will build Riot's SMB acquisition engine from the ground up: defining strategy, picking channels, running experiments, and shipping systems that work.

What you build in France will become the blueprint for how Riot grows internationally and across segments. Reporting directly to our CEO and cofounder, this is a 0 > 1 role with company-level impact.

1. Build Riot’s inbound growth engine
  • Define Riot’s SMB acquisition strategy from scratch
  • Identify the highest leverage acquisition channels (SEO, paid acquisition, product-led growth, partnerships, etc.)
  • Build scalable growth loops and repeatable acquisition systems

    2. Own and optimize the full growth funnel
    • Analyze and optimize the entire funnel: acquisition > signup > onboarding > activation > retention
    • Identify friction points and design experiments to improve conversion
    • Work closely with Product to improve product-led growth mechanics

      3. Build the growth stack and systems
      • Implement the tools, automation and infrastructure required to scale
      • Set up performance tracking and data analysis frameworks
      • Build repeatable and scalable acquisition processes

        4. Run high-velocity experimentation
        • Launch and iterate on acquisition campaigns (SEO, Google Ads, paid channels)
        • Test messaging, positioning and distribution strategies
        • Continuously run rapid test-and-learn cycles

          5. Work cross-functionally to unlock growth
          • Collaborate closely with Product, Sales and Customer Success
          • Translate market and user insights into product and GTM improvements
          • Contribute to Riot’s broader go-to-market strategy
