Description and Requirements
You will provide key financial data to the Benelux and EMEA management teams by business partnering with the sales and marketing teams in order to provide accurate data in a timely manner.
You will report to the CFO of Benelux. You will participate in weekly collaborative planning calls and meetings.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Provide information to management on the actual status of business development by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations
Track financial status by monitoring variances from plan (Revenue, AUR, Gross Profit & other implications)
Perform Budget/Forecast vs. Actual variance analysis and risk/opportunity tracking
Execute and enhance existing, and develop new tools for Finance & Sales management to track business performance
Support forecasting process – load and analyze weekly forecast data to make changes; coordinate Winter Plan (Budget), quarterly and monthly forecasts
Work closely with business teams on different planning cycles (e.g. campaign planning, Mx forecasting, weekly forecasting)
Month / Quarter end closing:
Responsible for consolidation and monthly journal entry of Future Billing Adjustment (FBA) and Inventory accruals
Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data where required
Prepare monthly consolidated and regional financial analyses
Work on ongoing simplifications to improve, streamline and increase efficiency within financial reporting and month-end closing activities
Requirements:
ACA/CIMA qualified accountant with considerable experience in annual reporting, planning cycles, financial controls and systems
Experience operating in a matrix structure, ideally with operational support in a Sales and Marketing environment
Ability to drive process change and deliver credible analysis and insight into results
Excellent planning and forecasting skills with strong understanding of finance systems (SAP, Oracle)
Ability to influence, challenge and support both financial and non-financial managers while prioritizing workload and meeting tight deadlines
Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, resilient approach to problem solving, and versatile communication style with the ability to present data effectively to all levels of the organization
