JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Field Technical Engineer (Electrophysiology) to join our EP team in the South-West region of France, based in or around Bordeaux.

As a Field Technical Engineer, you will partner closely with physicians, electrophysiologists, and catheter laboratory teams to provide technical and clinical support during procedures. You will play a key role in the successful adoption and utilization of Abbott's electrophysiology technologies and contribute to improving outcomes for patients living with heart rhythm disorders.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical support during Electrophysiology procedures, including mapping and ablation cases.
  • Deliver product training and education to physicians, nurses, and cath lab personnel.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of Abbott EP technologies and solutions.
  • Develop strong relationships with healthcare professionals across your territory.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Clinical teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain a high level of clinical and technical expertise within Electrophysiology.
  • Ensure compliance with Abbott quality and regulatory standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting electrophysiology, cardiac rhythm management, structural heart, or cath lab procedures.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn advanced cardiac technologies.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic hospital environment.
  • Fluent French and professional English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience as a Clinical Specialist, Field Technical Engineer, or Application Specialist within the medical device industry.
  • Knowledge of electrophysiology procedures, 3D mapping systems, and ablation technologies.
  • Experience supporting physicians in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
