Ben Betts Senior Consultant [email protected] My Profile See my jobs Job Description EMEA Recruitment has partnered with a leading international pharmaceutical organization in its search for a Facility Operations Manager to oversee the operations of a key manufacturing and corporate site in Southern Germany. Our client is a highly successful global business, renowned for its innovation, operational excellence and commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare solutions to patients worldwide. As the company continues to invest in its facilities and workplace strategy, they require an experienced Facility Operations Manager to lead the delivery of safe, efficient and sustainable workplace services while ensuring an exceptional employee experience. In this role, you will take ownership of the day-to-day management of the site, overseeing both hard and soft facilities services, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the workplace supports business performance, compliance and long-term asset value. You'll play a key role in managing maintenance strategies, supplier relationships and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll also partner with internal stakeholders to deliver a modern, safe and sustainable working environment. The main responsibilities of the Facility Operations Manager include: Leading the day-to-day operation of the site, ensuring the delivery of a safe, efficient and high-quality workplace environment Managing all hard and soft facilities services, including maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, reception, landscaping and waste management through external service providers Coordinating site improvement initiatives and small capital projects to enhance workplace performance and employee experience Developing preventative maintenance and asset lifecycle strategies to maximize the reliability and longevity of building infrastructure Managing operational budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation while driving risk management and workplace best practices Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality workplace services Technical skills: Fluent German and English language skills Previous experience within Facility Management, Workplace Management or Real Estate Operations, ideally within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, life sciences or corporate environment Strong knowledge of building services, workplace operations and asset lifecycle management Demonstrated experience managing external service providers, supplier performance and contract negotiations Strong financial and commercial awareness with experience managing operational and capital expenditure budgets Familiarity with CAFM, IWMS or other workplace management systems Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions EMEA Recruitment is committed to promoting Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the workplace.
