What you will do At Volvo Construction Equipment Technology(China), Co., Ltd, you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will: Monitor global field quality data to identify customer and product issues across wheel loaders and excavators Initiate and drive Field Quality Cases in the Define & Measure phases using data‑driven insights Work closely with Product Maintenance, Sales Regions, and cross‑functional teams to support root cause analysis Prepare and present business cases, quality charters, and statistical analyses to support decisions Contribute to continuous improvement, challenge the status quo, and help build a strong, collaborative quality culture Who are you? Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities: Monitor field statistics on all markets to identify Field and Customer Quality issues and initiate cases. Drive the Field Quality cases in Define and Measure phase Prepare and present project charter and business case on Field and Customer Quality cases Creating and interpreting in-depth statistical data and information Support the Product Maintenance Project Managers in Root cause analysis Make prioritization among related quality issues Initiate and/or evaluate Special Commitments and analyse data for decision Calculate costs for Special Commitments Monitor SpC cost spending and conduct SpC budget amendment or reduction Write Service Bulletins manuscript Chair the cross functional Field quality meetings Participate in PM and TFR meetings Request technical material (Parts return process) Support Warranty process Make prioritization among related quality issues Reject Special Commitments (SpC) that are not fulfilling requirement Return Chain Quality Cases to Draft/ Requestor if data is not sufficient Change status on Chain Quality Cases from “Ready for next Phase” to “In Progress” Who are you? Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position: B.S. engineering or equivalent experience Project management skills Six Sigma experience (Black belt) Fluent in English (written and spoken) Statistical knowledge Key Skills: Analytical ability Customer oriented Customer/Dealer understanding Motivating Others Communication Organization knowledge Process Management Dealing with Ambiguity Negotiating Pedagogical Product knowledge (on a sufficient level of the Case Builder responsibility area) Project management DMAIC methodology Statistical knowledge.
