Enrolled Nurse – ACT Health Centre - Casual ACT Base, Campbell, ACT Healthcare Are you a dedicated Enrolled Nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in a unique primary healthcare setting? We’re looking for an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse who is keen to join a multidisciplinary team and support the delivery of high quality care to Defence members. The Health Centre opened mid-2022 and is a large facility. It services approximately 7000 military personnel, including trainee officers from both ADFA and Royal Military College. There is a 24-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Defence Force Recruitment for medical officers is in addition to health centre roles. Standard hours of operation are generally 0800-1600 Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts). What you’ll do Deliver nursing care to Defence personnel under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse Provide outpatient care, and where required support inpatient care within a health centre or hospital setting Administer medications (where endorsed) in line with legislative requirements and clinical protocols Assist with patient assessments, treatment plans and health promotion activities Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality care What you bring Current unconditional and unrestricted AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) Minimum two years’ post registration nursing experience in acute care, primary healthcare or similar setting within the last five years Medication endorsement (if applicable to role requirements) Commitment to clinical governance, infection control and high-quality patient care Current CPR certification (HLTAID009) Australian Citizenship required (baseline security clearance) Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional development Who we are Serco supports governments by delivering essential services across defence, health, justice, maritime and community services.
