Ben Betts Senior Consultant [email protected] My Profile See my jobs Job Description EMEA Recruitment has partnered with a leading international manufacturing organization in its search for an EHS Manager (German speaking) to lead Environment, Health & Safety activities across its Swiss operations. Operating within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, this role is responsible for driving EHS strategy, ensuring compliance with Swiss regulations and international standards, and fostering a strong Health & Safety culture across the business. The successful candidate will act as the key EHS leader for Switzerland, partnering with senior stakeholders to manage risk, maintain compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This position is based in the Lucerne region of Switzerland. Responsibilities of the EHS Manager (German speaking): Lead all Environment, Health & Safety activities across the Swiss organization Ensure compliance with Swiss EHS legislation, regulatory requirements, and company standards Develop and implement local EHS strategies aligned with global objectives Act as the primary contact for regulatory authorities and external audits Drive a proactive Health & Safety culture through training, coaching, and employee engagement initiatives Conduct EHS audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across operations Maintain and enhance management systems in line with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards Monitor EHS performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions Skills & experience: Fluent German and English language skills are essential Degree-qualified in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related technical discipline Proven EHS leadership experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or FMCG environment Strong knowledge of Swiss EHS legislation, compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks Experience managing ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 management systems Practical auditing experience, and a strong understanding of risk management and continuous improvement methodologies Professional EHS certifications, such as NEBOSH, ASGS, or ISO Lead Auditor qualifications, are advantageous EMEA Recruitment is committed to promoting Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace.
