Short Intro and About the Job We’re looking for a hands-on, people-focused Dispensary Team Lead to provide leadership across our Dispensary operation at Danone Nutricia Balclutha . This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient and compliant dispensing operations that support production performance — with a strong focus on stock accuracy, material availability, standardised ways of working and continuous improvement. You’ll lead a team of Dispensary Technicians, build capability through training and coaching, and work closely with Planning, Production, Stores/Warehouse, Maintenance, and QFS to ensure the dispensary is always “production-ready”. As Dispensary Team Lead, you will: Lead safety and compliance Champion a strong safety culture and support WISE initiatives Drive hazard identification, corrective actions and Permit to Work processes Ensure timely reporting and follow-up of incidents and near misses Build team capability Develop team skills through training plans and coaching Maintain accurate training and competency records Promote engagement in safety, quality and lean programmes Drive performance and improvement Lead performance management and build accountability Facilitate problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives Support IWS implementation and standardised ways of working Ensure operational readiness Translate production plans into micro ingredient requirements Manage stock control, including weekly stock counts and replenishment Coordinate supply to ensure materials are available to meet production needs Maintain inventory and reporting discipline Ensure FEFO, labelling compliance and traceability standards Monitor deliveries, stock accuracy and SAP reporting (SOH/0007) Lead stocktakes and investigate/report variances Support daily operations Maintain dispensary systems, documentation and compliance standards Coordinate maintenance, staffing and payroll requirements Provide hands-on support to ensure operational continuity during peak periods About You To be successful, you’ll have: At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing supervisory/leadership role Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across teams and shifts Experience in food or dairy manufacturing (preferred) A practical understanding of hygiene controls in a manufacturing environment Confidence using systems and reporting tools (Excel/Word essential; SAP exposure is advantageous) A continuous improvement mindset (Lean/DaMaWay experience favourable) Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure Leadership capability — you’re able to coach, build accountability and develop others Knowledge of HACCP principles (desirable) Safety leadership training (preferred) About Us, We offer and What's next Danone is a leading global food and beverage company, guided by our mission to bring health through food to as many people as possible .
