We’re looking for a Digital Product Owner to help shape how data and AI create real value in manufacturing at Volvo Group. In this role, you’ll lead a defined product area, work closely with manufacturing and digital teams, and turn business needs into scalable solutions that improve decisions, flow, and performance. This is us – your new colleagues in Data & AI for Manufacturing You’ll join the Data & AI Adoption team within Group Digital & IT — a global, collaborative team working to turn data and AI into measurable business value across Volvo Group. We work closely with manufacturing stakeholders to build digital products that improve performance, enable smarter decisions, and support long-term transformation. This is a flexible role based in Gothenburg (Sweden), Ghent (Belgium), Wroclaw (Poland) or Lyon (France). Please indicate your preferred location in your application. Your mission and impact Your mission is to own a defined product within manufacturing, turning business needs into clear priorities, product decisions, and delivered outcomes. You’ll work across manufacturing, data, and engineering teams to identify opportunities, shape solutions, and ensure products deliver measurable value. A key part of the role is helping move from isolated AI use cases to scalable, business-relevant solutions that improve manufacturing. You’ll collaborate with area owners, product managers, engineers, analysts, architects, and manufacturing stakeholders to continuously improve products and user experience. You’ll own backlog priorities for a defined manufacturing data and AI product area, translate roadmap goals into deliverables, and help align day-to-day decisions with the broader product vision and strategy. You bring a strong focus on business value while staying close enough to the technical detail to contribute to product decisions, roadmap discussions, and continuous improvement. You’re curious about how data, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities can best serve the manufacturing business. What you’ll do Help shape the product vision and ensure delivery aligns with business value and user needs Run product discoveries with manufacturing stakeholders, analysts, engineers, and product peers Translate business needs into user stories, priorities, and product decisions Track product performance, user adoption, and outcome metrics to guide continuous improvement Own and prioritize the backlog for a defined manufacturing data and AI product area Support AI adoption in manufacturing by identifying and delivering high-value use cases Work across teams to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and supported end to end Contribute to long-term product planning, capability development, and continuous improvement Who you are You’re comfortable working at the intersection of business, technology, and product development. You likely bring a university degree or equivalent experience, along with several years (at least 5 years) of work in data, analytics, digital products, or a closely related area. You can navigate ambiguity, manage changing priorities, work strategically and build alignment across stakeholders. A strong understanding of manufacturing will be key to succeeding in this role, along with the ability to translate business challenges into clear action. You combine communication skills, curiosity, and a practical mindset with a focus on user needs, continuous improvement, and measurable outcomes. What you’ll bring Strong understanding of the manufacturing domain (over 5 years of experience), including processes, stakeholder needs, and how to translate business challenges into data, analytics, or AI product opportunities Experience working with digital products, data, analytics, or AI-related solutions Good understanding of agile ways of working Ability to translate business needs into product priorities and deliverables Strong collaboration and communication skills A structured, proactive, and problem-solving mindset Experience with Lean, user-centered product development, or systems thinking is a plus A can-do attitude and a commitment to continuous learning Fluency in English  Experience in management consulting, ideally 3-5 years, is considered a strong asset What’s in it for you?
