As Credit Controller Belux, you play a key role in safeguarding the financial health of our business by ensuring effective credit management, healthy cash flow, and proactive risk mitigation. You will act as a trusted business partner for customers, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams, ensuring a professional and customer-focused approach to credit and collections. By combining financial insight, strong communication skills, and a continuous improvement mindset, you will help optimize working capital while supporting profitable business growth. Key Accountabilities Manage credit and collection activities for the Belux region, ensuring timely payment collection and effective follow-up of outstanding receivables. Assess customer creditworthiness and support the definition and monitoring of appropriate credit limits. Monitor customer exposure and payment behaviour , identify risks proactively, and initiate collection actions where needed. Contribute to healthy cash flow performance by reducing overdue balances, minimizing doubtful debts, and supporting DSO improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with internal policies and group guidelines , while maintaining accurate and reliable financial and ERP data. Support audits and financial reporting activities , ensuring high standards of accuracy and governance. Drive process improvements and digitalization initiatives that enhance efficiency, reporting quality, and data-driven decision-making. Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders , acting as a constructive partner in resolving payment-related matters. Who are we looking for? You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or you have equivalent experience. You have at least 5 years of experience in credit control, collections, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role. You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English or are comfortable working in a multilingual environment. You have experience working with SAP, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications . You combine strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to prioritize effectively. You communicate confidently and build positive relationships while remaining appropriately assertive when needed. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working across departments to achieve common goals. You are motivated by continuous improvement and actively seek opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
