The OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Energy Sector Lead to join our Global Trade & Commodities team. This is a senior origination role with end-to-end ownership of Trade Finance, Receivables and Supply Chain Finance, Inventory Finance and Structured Commodity Finance transactions across our Energy portfolio. If you are a relationship-driven professional with deep expertise in commodity and trade finance, and a passion for structuring complex deals, this is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact within a leading global bank.What You'll DoOrigination & ExecutionLead the full sales cycle — from origination and structuring through to documentation and execution — for new transactions across the Energy portfolioDrive inbound and outbound business development with Corporates, working closely with the CA-CIB global networkActively promote and grow utilisation of established facilities through regular client engagementCross-sell across ITB and broader Crédit Agricole Group product linesRisk & CreditManage the credit sanctioning process, including preparation and presentation of credit applications to the relevant ITB committeeAdvise Coverage teams on proposed participation levels and transaction structuringAssess transactions across structure, reputation, technical and operational dimensionsEnsure timely communication to the Credit Department of any changes in deal qualityRelationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, target new clients in line with the business plan, and deepen penetration of the UK marketEngage with financial institutions, external legal advisers, trade organisations and Fintechs active in the Global Trade & Commodities spaceReporting & CompliancePrepare half-year and annual forecasts; assist in budget preparation covering income, assets and expensesMonitor monthly income against budgetEnsure full compliance with all legal, regulatory and internal requirements, including the London Compliance Manual and Financial Crime PolicyProduce call reports and pitch documentation as requiredWhat We're Looking ForProven experience in Trade Finance, Structured Commodity Finance or a related product area, ideally with a focus on the Energy sectorStrong origination and business development track recordExcellent structuring and credit analysis skillsAbility to manage complex transactions end-to-end with multiple internal and external stakeholdersStrong communication and relationship management skillsUp-to-date knowledge of market developments, regulation and Fintech innovation in the trade and commodities spaceFamiliarity with relevant legal, regulatory and compliance framework
