The right candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset and a tendency towards 5S in the workplace. How you create impact The right candidate will serve as a strategic business partner to leadership, driving profitability, growth, productivity, and process improvements. · Lead the US Controlling team and maintain strong alignment with Corporate Controlling. · Oversee timely and accurate month-end close, annual target-setting, and quarterly forecasting processes. · Manage investment reviews, business case development, cost‑saving initiatives, and new business evaluations. · Represent Finance in pricing and RFP processes, ensuring accurate costing, sound assumptions, and compliance with accounting standards. · Identify and mitigate financial risks through contract reviews, pricing oversight, and senior‑level discussions. · Monitor business performance, analyze P&Ls, perform gap analyses, and drive cost control and procurement support. · Champion standardization, continuous improvement, tool development, and employee development within Contract Logistics Controlling. · Ensure governance and full compliance with financial controlling policies through direct oversight of local analysts and support staff. What we would like you to bring · Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent; Master’s preferred · 7–10 years of experience, including 5+ in Finance/Controlling (FP&A preferred) · 5+ years leading and managing teams · Experience presenting to senior leadership at national and corporate levels · Strong Contract Logistics operational and business knowledge · Proven leadership with strong personal drive and innovative thinking · Solid Controlling and Finance background · Organized, detail‑focused, hands‑on, and collaborative · Strategic thinker who turns complex analysis into clear insights · Skilled at detailed work and concise executive‑level summaries · Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables) · Strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen · Self‑starter with initiative and consistent follow‑through · Track record of leading, coaching, and developing teams What's in it for you At Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to inspire, empower, and deliver not only to our customers, but also to our colleagues. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
