As part of our long-standing partnership with the European Space Agency, we are looking for a Configuration and Data Management Specialist to join our team at ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.
The Configuration and Data Management Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining configuration management, information management, and data governance processes across ESA projects. The role ensures controlled management of project baselines, changes, review processes, and data repositories in compliance with ECSS and ESA standards.
Responsibilities
Configuration Planning and Management
Establish and maintain configuration baselines.
Manage configuration item lists, status accounting and change control records.
Coordinate Requests for Deviation (RFDs), Requests for Waiver (RFWs), Change Requests and Contract Change Notices.
Support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
Information & Data Management
Define and implement project information management processes.
Maintain structured configuration repositories and access controls.
Manage information lifecycle activities, including creation, storage, archiving and retrieval.
Ensure compliance with security, export control and personal data protection requirements.
Review & Audit Support
Coordinate technical review logistics and CADM activities.
Manage review data packages and eRID administration.
Track review action items and RID closure.
Support management audits and compliance reviews.
Process & Training
Develop Configuration and Data Management Plans.
Maintain CADM procedures, templates and standards.
Deliver CADM training and user guidance.
Contribute to process automation, digitalisation and emerging methodologies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Management, Project Management, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Configuration Management, CADM, or aerospace project support.
Required Skills
Configuration management principles and standards.
Change control and baseline management.
Technical documentation and information governance.
Audit preparation and compliance management.
Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
ECSS standards.
Space sector programmes and reviews (PDR, CDR, QR, AR).
SharePoint, Polaris, eRID, document repositories and enterprise information management tools.
