The Communication Specialist will be a part of the local Marketing team.

As Communication Specialist you will be part of a dedicated local marketing team that is responsible for the planning, development and execution of local marketing activities directed towards product and brand. You will optimise the local marketing content and marketing materials in close cooperation with the regional marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

Accelerates market delivery multichannel content

  • Drafting and updating communication materials (e.g. web, PR, SoMe, media).
  • Reviewing and approving website content updates to ensure local relevance and brand consistency.
  • Creating clear, educational, and impactful content for print and online.
  • Developing/adjusting content (e.g. infographics) for social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Translating product information and making it accessible and appealing.

Driving communication agenda

  • Strengthen local visibility through PR (e.g. press relations) and SoMe content approval.
  • Assist in the deployment of media plans with agencies and the regional team to share local insights and media landscapes.
  • Support the creation and distribution of newsletters to Homeowners and Pro Partners together with the regional team.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of local events, trade shows and brand activations.

Communication follow-up:

  • Reporting on communication activities to Marketing Manage
  • Share best practices internally (e.g. via Viva Engage, townhalls, internal updates) to support learning and alignment across teams.

Ensuring compliance with global brand guidelines

  • Support local deployment of media plans and ensures consistent brand messaging
  • Secure full alignment with VELUX tone of voice and brand identity across digital and offline channels.

What we look for:

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills in French and English
  • Ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively across multiple communication channels
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Technology Proficiency:

  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools
  • Proficient in social media, SEO, content marketing to optimize reach and engagement
  • Familiarity with content management systems to approve and validate website updates.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Deep understanding of brand positioning and how to maintain tone and voice across all channels.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural, cross-functional environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing , Communications or related

  • Brand Awareness
  • Quality and relevance of localized content (digital and offline)
  • Visibility in earned media and event-based activations
