Within the SPIE corporate head office, reporting to the Group sustainability director, you will be in charge of leading SPIE’s climate action, including its science-based decarbonisation strategy, roadmap and initiatives, enhancing SPIE’s leading position what regards energy transition solutions to cities, infrastructure and industry. You will be supported by an experienced data analyst. In this position, you will: Shape and coordinate SPIE’s short-term Scope 3 reduction strategy: - Roll out a science-based Scope 3 carbon footprint decarbonisation toolkit throughout the SPIE Group and provide ad hoc guidance and support to Business Units in the toolkit's implementation - Foster and consolidate Scope 3 decarbonisation levers throughout the Group - Ensure the transition of SPIE’s Scope 3 carbon footprint accounting from a spend-based to a quantity-based method, with the support of a specialised consultancy retained for such project - Coordinate the global Scope 3 greenhouse gas reporting campaigns (two per year), enhance reporting protocols as need be, and be the main contact point for external auditors on Scope 3 for the Group CSRD report. Support Business Units in their methodological approach to avoided emissions calculations. - Prepare the Group Scope 3 Steering Committee and contribute to Group Sustainability Committees Besides the Group sustainability team, you will rely on an organised network of sustainability directors in the Business Units, as well as responsible procurement officers and a specialised consultancy tasked to accompany SPIE on carbon footprint accounting. This fixed-term contract is set for a minimum duration of 8 months. • Engineering degree from a recognised school/university, with a specialisation in environmental sciences, climate accounting, monitoring or modelling. • 6-10 years’ experience in carbon footprint reduction pathways. • Proficient on climate standards, regulations, and carbon footprint assessments. • Hands-on, demonstrated ability to lead projects and deliver them on time. • Ability to analyse and rigorously project data. • Autonomy in work organisation. • Ability to network with and influence operational and functional teams
