What will your working environment be like?
The European e-commerce division handles online distribution of Hermès products in 16 European countries, as well as customer service for European stores. It plays a central role in the omnichannel transformation of European retail activities. The Hermès.com Europe (Hermès Distribution Europe) team currently consists of more than 110 people divided into five directions : Merchandising and Data, Finance and Projects, Operations, HR, and Clients and Services Direction.
Within the Clients & Services Division, you will work to support the business unit's commercial activity, in close collaboration with Merchandising and Data, Customer Experience, and Client Relationship Center (CRC) teams, which is made up of 60 client advisors.
What will your role be?
As part of our development, Hermès.com Europe is looking to strengthen its presence among final customers, impactful architects, decorators, and interior designers by promoting its Home & Lifestyle collections.
The objective is threefold:
• To develop sales in furniture, decorative objects, lighting, tableware, and Hermès Horizons categories.
• To attract new customers and develop their loyalty.
• To increase Hermès' visibility and influence in interior design projects.
Reporting to one of the Hermès.com Europe E-Store Managers, you will work with the merchandising, operations, and logistics teams, European stores, and Métier Maison managers to ensure consistency, quality, and a seamless customer experience.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Business development and client relations
- Contribute to the growth of sales in the Home & Lifestyle segment and achieve sales goals through a targeted action plan
- Support architects, designers, interior decorators, and private customers throughout their purchasing journey, whether online, in-store, or for a specific project, by offering tailored recommendations and expert advice
- Establish lasting relationships with key influencers and strategic clients by promoting Hermès excellence and anticipating their needs
- Build and grow your customer portfolio
- Manage complex requests with all project stakeholders to ensure success (dimensions, materials, customization, availability, etc.) with rigor and elegance
2. Order management and coordination
- Monitor Maison & Lifestyle projects from initial contact to delivery, in coordination with stores, departments, logistics, and carriers. This role will require travel to supervise the process.
- Manage large and/or custom orders, returns, and specific requests with precision
- Ensure an impeccable customer experience, in line with Hermès standards, in conjunction with all relevant departments
3. Events & training
- Collaborate with European Hermès boutiques to organize in-store furniture displays, work on guest lists, optimize European stock, and organize one-on-one customer appointments
- Participate in events, trade shows, and other key events to strengthen the brand's presence among influencers and strategic customers
- Collaborate with the Métier Maison to share business knowledge with teams
- Train and share best practices with internal Hermès.com teams and store teams in the Home & Lifestyle segment
4. Reporting and continual improvement
- Monitor and analyze ongoing projects, track revenue generated, and orders placed
- Track orders from start to finish and report customer feedback to the appropriate teams to improve the purchasing experience and digital content
- Participate in competitor benchmarking and propose entrepreneurial commercial initiatives
This position is for you if you have:
- Proven experience in sales, client accompaniment and project briefing, or consulting in the interior design, , decoration, or luxury sectors
- A strong commercial focus: able to develop a client portfolio, identify opportunities, and close high-value sales
- Product expertise: Strong interest in furniture, decorative objects, tableware, and lifestyle: sense of aesthetics and trends
- A confirmed client network and excellent interpersonal skills: excellent rapport with strategic and demanding clients, ability to build long-term loyalty
- Proactive and service-oriented: able to anticipate needs, manage complex projects, and guarantee a high-quality customer experience
- Digital agility: proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, and Photoshop, understanding of e-commerce and the omnichannel experience
- Bilingual in English and another European language is a compelling plus
