Overview The Business Model Innovation & Strategy Sr Director role is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and scaling new business models and revenue channels to deliver Food Ventures' growth ambition. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution. Positioned above existing execution leaders (D2C and AFH leads), it ensures portfolio coherence, market prioritization, and scalable commercialization strategies, while driving high-impact initiatives such as Virtual Restaurants and B2B Shop-in-Shop platforms. Responsibilities Business Model Innovation & Pipeline Development: Identify, design, and validate new business models across D2C, AFH, and adjacent channels Build and manage a robust innovation pipeline aligned with Food Ventures growth targets Develop scalable frameworks to assess and prioritize opportunities based on market potential, profitability, and strategic fit Translate external trends into concrete business opportunities across the portfolio Strategic Market & Portfolio Prioritization: Define where to play and in what sequence across geographies and brands Lead market selection strategy: sizing, readiness assessment, and investment phasing Determine business model deployment approach per market (partner menu vs. owned storefront) Ensure alignment with broader commercial and GTM strategy Go-To-Market & Commercialization Leadership: Oversee development of GTM strategies for new business models and ventures Lead commercialization of B2B platforms including Shop-in-Shop concepts Ensure seamless transition from strategy to execution with clear ownership and KPIs Partner closely with D2C and AFH leads to scale initiatives effectively Decentralized Kitchen & Virtual Restaurant Scaling: Own the strategic rollout of decentralized kitchens across markets Drive end-to-end deployment Define and scale next-generation D2C propositions Identify opportunities in digital-first and experiential channels: delivery platforms, retail partnerships, experiences Cross-Functional & Market Leadership: Act as a senior integrator across Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Digital Influence market teams to adopt and scale new business models Provide strategic direction while enabling local execution excellence Capability Creation & Organizational Development: Establish standardized global rollout frameworks, QA mechanisms, and governance models Build playbooks for market entry, operator selection, and commercialization Drive cultural transformation toward entrepreneurial, test-and-learn, founder mindset Insights, Trends & External Benchmarking: Continuously assess consumer trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies Leverage insights to shape long-term innovation strategy and investment decisions Bring external best practices from leading disruptors and adjacent industries Compensation & Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $157,200 - $312,000. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 35% of annual salary paid out annually and an additional target payout of 15% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period. Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications 12–15+ years in strategy, innovation, or commercial leadership roles Strong track record of building and scaling new business models and revenue streams Background in Food, Beverage, QSR, Digital Platforms, Delivery-first ecosystems, or adjacent industries Experience in global, multi-market environments & start-ups Experience in top-tier strategy consulting (MBB) or equivalent strategic roles Proven exposure to venture building, startups, or corporate innovation units Experience in platform ecosystems: marketplaces, delivery aggregators Exposure to franchise or multi-unit expansion models International mobility across developed and emerging markets
