As an Assistant Housekeeper Intern reporting to our Executive Housekeeper, you will oversee and contribute to guest well‑being by ensuring the daily upkeep of all guestrooms and public areas within your assigned zone of responsibility. You will manage a team of room attendants, supervise their tasks, and ensure the proper functioning and cleanliness of the outsourced service provider.
You will be in direct contact with our Executive Housekeeper.
Main Duties- Ensure the hygiene and cleanliness of the guestrooms and areas under your responsibility through daily room inspections.
- Report any maintenance issues in the rooms to the appropriate department.
- Organize and distribute the daily workload for the team.
- Ensure the quality of services and amenities provided to guests.
- Implement and enforce the property's standards and procedures (including BSA and internal regulations).
- Inform management of any “abnormal” situation related to safety or potential risks for guests or colleagues.
- Perform opening and closing duties (room coordination with the Front Office and the subcontracting company).
- Oversee staff scheduling and task planning.
- Ensure the proper upkeep and overall functioning of the hotel.
- Contribute to maintaining grooming standards and hygiene within the team.
- Contribute to guest loyalty by responding to their requests and handling complaints.
- Record lost and found items and special service requests.
- Manage or supervise the management of linen, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities stocks.
- Implement specific cleaning schedules.
- Act as a liaison with the Front Office.
- Assist in training staff members.
