The Opportunity BYREDO is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Assistant Store Manager to join our team at our point of sale at Åhléns City, Stockholm . The position is a temporary assignment covering a period of study leave through July 2027, with the possibility of extension. We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. As Assistant Store Manager, you will be a key partner to the Store Manager and play an important part in the daily success of the store. You will combine a strong presence on the shop floor with responsibility for supporting business performance, coaching the team, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will help translate strategy into daily action, supporting the team in delivering an elevated client experience, driving commercial priorities, and ensuring the store operates in line with brand standards. The role requires someone who enjoys working closely with people, leading by example, and contributing to both team development and store results. You will act as a trusted operational partner to the Store Manager and step in as Acting Store Manager when required, ensuring continuity across sales, service, and operational routines. What you'll get to do In this role, you will play an active part in driving both the commercial performance and the daily rhythm of the store. You will: Take shared ownership of store performance and contribute to achieving key KPIs such as sell-out, conversion, ATV, UPT and CRM capture. Maintain strong visibility on the shop floor, supporting the team in prioritising daily commercial opportunities and targets. Support the Store Manager in analysing business performance and identifying actions to improve results. You will also play an important role in strengthening the client experience: Lead by example in delivering a personalised and client-centric service. Coach the team in selling techniques, storytelling, cross-selling and client engagement. Support the consistent use of CRM and clienteling practices to strengthen long-term customer relationships. Handle escalated client situations with professionalism and care. From a team and leadership perspective, you will: Act as a role model and coach for the team on the shop floor. Provide regular feedback and support the development of team members. Contribute to onboarding, product training and ongoing learning within the store. Help ensure the team understands and executes daily and weekly commercial priorities. Operationally, you will support the Store Manager in ensuring the store runs efficiently and in line with company standards. This includes contributing to: Stock management and inventory processes Visual merchandising execution aligned with campaigns and launches Workforce planning and daily staffing needs Compliance with company policies, security routines and operational procedures Sales, CRM and performance reporting We'd love to meet you if you have We believe this role suits someone with a strong retail background who enjoys combining commercial focus with people leadership. You likely bring: Around 5 years of experience in a senior sales or supervisory role within premium or luxury retail, beauty, fragrance or fashion. Previous experience as a Senior Client Advisor, Team Leader, Floor Manager, Department Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or a similar position with responsibility for team support and commercial results. A solid understanding of retail KPIs, selling techniques and clienteling. Experience working with CRM systems and retail tools. Confidence working with sales data and reports, with good numerical and analytical skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. You are someone who: Has a strong commercial mindset and understands how daily actions impact store performance. Leads by example and inspires others through a genuine client-first approach. Communicates clearly and supports the Store Manager in creating structure and momentum in the team. Takes ownership beyond your own sales and contributes to the success of the whole store.
