The Assistant Director of Engineering will support the Director of Engineering in managing the hotel’s engineering and maintenance operations. This role ensures that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems are functioning efficiently, while leading a team of engineers and technicians. The position requires balancing hands-on technical expertise with strategic planning to maintain high standards of safety, sustainability, and guest satisfaction.
The Assistant Director of Engineering will support the Director of Engineering in managing the hotel’s engineering and maintenance operations. This role ensures that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems are functioning efficiently, while leading a team of engineers and technicians. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 8–10 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within hospitality or facilities management.
Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
Proven ability to manage preventive maintenance programs and energy-saving initiatives.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability practices.
