Overview The Agro Lead Indonesia role is assigned to ensure availability of right quality and quantity of potato as per production requirements and deliver AOP Targets (Quantities, Quality & Cost). This person will also be responsible to Oversee R&D, benchmark and transfer best R & D practices to the country for developing seed grade, Frito Lay variety potato and maximize the production of it under contract farming. This role will be a part of the Agro Organization of APAC Region to ensure the seamless supply of import raw materials through the Region while negotiating and delivering savings in potato seed and chipstock supply of preferred varieties to the BU / MUs. Responsibilities What you will be responsible for: Build and lead implementation of functional Strategic Plan and Work with and align with potential 3rd party suppliers for seed and chip stock supply Align with Key Agricultural government institutions to help facilitate startup and Agro programs Research & development: assess quality of key factors (seed, fertilizer, variety, solid,…), decide suitable option Negotiate and align commercial & payment terms for potato procurement locally or imported from other markets As a process owner for Agro process, lead the GCS agenda in accordance with PepsiCo Accountability model by building GCS capability, ensuring robust risk assessment, quarterly GCS testing by Control Owners. Assess key control effectiveness and ensure gaps, as identified in quarterly testing and corporate audit, are remediated on a timely basis. Maintain process documentation that is complete and accurate and main a strong control environment in Agro function. Manage Agro expansion projects to meet future expansion needs while maintaining lowest cost possible Supplier development and support local agro / potato quality program Work closely with PepsiCo APAC Region and global agronomy resources to ensure agro best practices are implemented. Agro productivity: Monitor progress, give advice to solve problem if there’s any issue to manage potato storage effectively Monitor progress, give advice to solve problem if there’s any issue to optimize potato utilization (quality, potato storage as FIFO, etc.) Control contract terms, seed, technical issues to optimize contract farming and minimize getting potatoes from open market Maintain & Review Agro KPI's Score Card and Improving Quality & Reference Capability year on year. Promptly respond to volume to secure the supply of chipstock/seed and other agro commodities during critical times while maintaining lowest stock possible to avoid cash flow and P&L hits Liaise with external partners (i.e. seeds and chipstock suppliers) to ensure PepsiCo interests are well represented. Coordinate with BU Agro managers to monitor their chipstock / seed balances, import requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, contract management w. third parties, suppliers within collaboration of Global Agro Supply team/organization. Work with Global Agro Supply to identify and develop new lower cost supply options that delivers competitive advantage to the business while achieving the appropriate high quality standards. Agro commodity originations – import chipstock/seed and other agro commodities, contract maintenance and problem resolution and manage the communications between parties. Qualifications What you will need to have: Bachelor Degree in technical discipline such as Agricultural Science, Science etc. At least five to eight years working experience in Agro/Operations/Logistics/ field with 5years of experiences at management level Knowledge of Agricultural business fundamentals (Agricultural mechanics, irrigation equipment and agronomy) in Vietnam Fluency in written and spoken Vietnamese & English is mandatory Excellent computer skill (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database management) High learning capacity and very strong analytical skills combined with commercial sense and financial knowledge, a project management experience. Strong communication and negotiation skills Build trust & confidence when presenting Strategic focus and look ahead to anticipate business opportunities and obstacles.
