Administrator Support for Head of Education
Location: HMP Dovegate, Uttoxeter, ST14 8XR
Salary: £26,294 per annum, plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week Monday- Friday

As an Administrator supporting the Head of Education in our Education, Skills and Work team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting learning and development within a secure prison environment, helping individuals build skills that support rehabilitation and future opportunities.
You’ll ensure accurate, secure, and timely administration across learner data, examinations, and certification processes. Your work will support education delivery, inspections, and compliance – helping create impactful solutions that contribute to rehabilitation and a positive impact on communities.
What you’ll do as an Administrator Support for Head of Education
You’ll be entrusted to:
Maintain accurate learner records, including enrolment, attendance, progression, and achievement data
Ensure compliance with data protection, prison security protocols, and education regulations
Produce reports on learner outcomes, attendance, and performance to support inspections and decision-making
Coordinate examinations and certification processes, including registrations, materials, and results tracking
Work collaboratively with tutors, managers, and prison colleagues to ensure accuracy and efficiency across systems
Support continuous improvement by maintaining systems and promoting effective use of digital tools and processes

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
Strong administrative and organisational skills, with high attention to detail
Experience working with data systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office, including Excel
The ability to analyse information and present insights clearly to different audiences
A collaborative approach, with the ability to build relationships across teams
A proactive mindset, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively
Vetting and checks:
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
